Cherish the Beauty

Every new day is a beautiful chance
To have an adventure! To get up and dance!
To revel in joy and embrace all things fun!
To dream a new dream – and then get that dream done.
Each day is a chance not to just wake, but rise.
To open our minds and our hearts – not just eyes.
Every day, there is beauty. We feel it abound
In our laughter and triumphs. We wrap it around
Our souls as warm memories – find it in new
Things to see, taste, or try. Sometimes we wear it, too.
Beauty’s easy to spot in our hair or our clothes –
In a sunset, a gem, or a wild red rose.
Beauty’s not hard to find in the good times we share.
But in pain and in struggle, beauty’s also there.
Beauty’s there in the boulder blocking the road,
Giving our stories new ways to unfold.
Beauty’s there in the wall stretching out wide and high,
Giving us reason to learn how to fly.
There’s beauty in all of the times that we stumble.
They help us stay grounded, stay tough, and stay humble.
It’s a beautiful thing every time we don’t win
But we get up and bounce back, learn, and try again.
Beauty can be found even when things are rough
If you’ve got the patience to look hard enough.
And if you can’t find it, no need to despair!
Anyone can make beauty – right out of thin air!
The beauty in these four words: “How was your day?”
Can outshine Da Vinci, Van Gogh, and Monet!
When you have an idea and shout it aloud,
When you create something that makes you so proud,
When you shine forth your light like a bloom from a bud,
When you build a family from and beyond blood,
When you meet a stranger and make them a friend,
Then you will find beauty that flows without end.
There’s beauty in everything; this much is true.
There is beauty in knowledge, in love, and in you.
But the fact that beauty’s, in fact, far from rare
Is no reason we shouldn’t treat it with care.
It can be overlooked in a world so fast-paced,
And each beauty’s a miracle we shouldn’t waste.
A beauty unloved is a gift that might perish.
Beauty’s something to nurture and something to cherish.
So, look for the beauty! Search up, down, and under!
When you find it, regard it with awe and with wonder!
Cherish the beauty in blue skies and sun!
Cherish the beauty in laughter and fun!
Cherish the beauty in thunder and rain.
Cherish the beauty in challenge and pain.
Cherish the beauty in calm and in fuss.
Cherish the beauty within all of us.
